VIDEO KILLED the RADIO STAR

(DEMO MIX- I recorded at Nightsound Studios [nightsound.com] Glenn Schwartz engineer) No syntesizers, just acoustic guitar on my rendition.

This was the first song that was ever played on MTV (August 1,1981) from the Buggles classic album The Plastic Age.  "In my mind and in my car; we can't rewind, we've gone too far...pictures came and broke your heart.  Put the blame on VCR."

"Grey Suit"

I wrote this for my band Catbird Seat around 1991.  This is a song about the 'RED' Denny who frequented the streets of Knoxville during the 1980s.  He would always sing you a song for a drink or a bite to eat.  This song was written in his memory after he passed, with scenes of his life and memorial.

"Fortunate Heart"

I wrote this for my band Catbird Seat around 1993.  This song focuses on the hypnotic and magnetic attractive qualities found within that special person who can evoke them to their benefit...me, under the spell.

"Over Now"

I wrote this for my band Catbird Seat around 1993.  I had a few friends who had found the demons among us often let in with innocent intent.  This song tells of the redemption found after the hard times "feeding the sanity of righteousness, feeling the sanity of life again'.

"Sing to Me"

I wrote this for my band Catbird Seat around 1992.  A love song written in poetic imagery.  "Was I strong enough to hold you; was I man enough to share; am I reading Aesop's Fables where morals come to bear..." Shawn Mullins making our 'out of tune' piano sound good.

"FALL'S Lullaby"

I wrote this for my band Catbird Seat around 1992.  This was originally an acrostic poem that I wrote about my favorite season of the year FALL.  It was originally sung by men...but, Emily Saliers and my wife (Katie) put a beautiful touch to this short lullaby....."Liberate your spirit again".

"Waiting for the Artist"

I wrote this for my band Catbird Seat around 1990.  The first song that I wrote about my future wife Katie (she is also the harmonizing angel on this cut.  I am waiting for the "ARTIST" (Katie)
