The self-produced project — expected out on CD in spring 2025 — features songs they each wrote separately and several co-written tracks. Initially inspired to collaborate by their mutual love of iconic acoustic folk acts, the duo’s guitars and voices blend seamlessly. Bring your friends and family, enjoy the crisp fall evening, sing along, tap your toes, clap your hands, taste the great food and drinks.

A NOTE from Jerry Chapman from the Running Headphones House Concert Series

Hi, friends!
Let's welcome my old friend, John Gillespie, and my new friend, Bob Bedell! If they aren't already your friends, they're certainly getting ready to be.  How do you feel about great guitar playing, sweet singing, and amazing songs? Yeah, I thought so.

As always, guacamole @ 6:30, music @ 7:15ish. Bring a snacky treat and $10 or so for the artists.

John Gillespie is a singer-songwriter raised in Chapel Hill, NC. Best known as half of the folk duo Nikki Meets The Hibachi, John is also a member of several Triangle area bands: Nantahala, The Drowning Lovers, The Marigold Collective, and Pillow Foot.
